Bio

Akhila Asgar is a PhD student at UAEU working on explainable and trustworthy artificial intelligence for medical image computing. Her research focuses on improving the reliability, robustness, and security of deep learning models in medical imaging, with particular emphasis on explainable AI and threats such as data poisoning attacks. Her work explores how model explanations can be leveraged to detect vulnerabilities and develop privacy-preserving approaches for safer and more trustworthy AI-assisted medical imaging systems.
