Bio

Sema Helali is a joint PhD student at UAEU and McGill University working at the intersection of large AI models, medical image computing, and oral medicine. Her research focuses on developing and adapting large language, vision-language, and multimodal foundation models for oral and dental healthcare, with applications in clinical decision support, medical imaging, and computational pathology. Her work aims to develop clinically grounded AI systems that integrate multimodal medical information to support more accurate, reliable, and intelligent oral healthcare.
