Bio

Tumelo Kapinga is an MSc student in Information Technology Management at UAEU. Her research compares state-of-the-art deep learning architectures—including SegMamba, UNETR++, MedNeXt, SAM-Med3D, and nnU-Net—for automated breast lesion segmentation in 3D Automated Breast Ultrasound (ABUS) images. By evaluating these models on a shared benchmark, she aims to identify the architectures that generalize best and provide clinically reliable segmentation.
